Safety Tips for the Women We Care About

An Australian Cop wrote this for women:

Refresh yourself of these things to do in an emergency situation…
1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point on your body.
If you are close enough to use it, do!
2.. Learned this from a tourist guide.
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you….
Chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car, kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy..
The driver won’t see you, but everybody else will.  This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their chequebook, or making a list, etc.)  DON’T DO THIS!
The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in
on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR
LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE..

If someone is in the car  with a gun to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
Repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead gun the engine
and speed into anything, wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat they will get the worst of it .
As soon as the car crashes
bail out and run.
It is better than having them find your body in a remote location.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware: look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat
B.) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans while the women
are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle,
and the passenger side… If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back
into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs.
Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; and even then,
it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked ‘for help’ into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.
9. Another Safety Point:
Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird.. The police told her
‘Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door..’
The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over.
The policeman said, ‘We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.’
He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby’s cry recorded and uses it to coax
women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear baby’s cries outside their doors when they’re home alone at night.
10 . Water scam!
If you wake up in the middleof the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is aburst pipe, DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your
outside taps full ball so that you will go out to investigate and then attack.
Stay alert, keep safe, and look out for your neighbours!

Forward this to all the women you know.
It may save a life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle..
Guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc.,
you may want to pass it onto them.

Send this to any woman you know that may need
to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it
and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Stay Safe

Global Population Blowout Risk

This is a concern – it is not going to happen tomorrow, but population numbers are growing fast. This article has drawn some strong comments on the MM page.  Both sides have gone in to bat. If you want to read them the link is at the bottom of the full article.

This Birthday Is Nothing to Celebrate

October 31, 2011
By Martin Hutchinson, Global Investing Strategist, Money Morning

The world’s 7 billionth person is likely to be born today (Monday).

However, this birthday isn’t something to celebrate.

Since the global population passed 6 billion only in late 1999, we’ve added more than 80 million people each year on average. And the environmental footprint of those people is expanding rapidly as emerging market populations modernize.

The planet may be able to accommodate these extra people and their consumption – but then again, it may not.

And if it can’t, the drain on our planet’s resources could harm us all.

Christianity: the Ultimate Deception?

I said in my last blog that I had made some astounding discoveries regarding the truth behind what Christianity claims as Biblical Doctrine. Today we look at the Bible to see what it actually does say. Let me warn you that this exposes an alarming level of deceit and lies in what we as Christians have been taught. If you care whether what you believe actually has enough truth in it to get you to heaven – then you truly do need to keep reading. If you don’t care about the truth, and would rather stay cocooned in what your pastor or priest has taught you – even if it turns out to be the ultimate deception – then you better stop reading now.

I hope you will stay with us. This needs to be told to as many as possible. For many millions this will end badly – the Ultimate Disaster – with many less survivors that we have ever previously expected. READ MORE

Where Most Disaster Survival Plans Fail

How to Avoid The Ultimate Disaster Survival Plan Failure

Last week I was admitted to hospital for surgery. This week I am feeling somewhat sorry for myself – my body is taking longer than I would like for it to heal itself after being under the knife. I guess I should appreciate that it’s only been five days – they told me to take a full week off, and expect it to be six weeks before I am back on top of things. I just need to give it a little more time!

So why am I telling you this?keyhole surgery Where Most Disaster Survival Plans Fail

Because while I have been immobilized I have had plenty of time to think. And I have been thinking about disaster survival.

I have been wondering how many of us have taken serious steps to protect ourselves and our loved ones, but are still unprepared for what happens when this life is over. While being prepared to survive any sort of disaster life can throw at us is really important, it is amazingly shortsighted if we don’t take the steps we can to prepare for the life after this one.

Now if this is getting outside of where you are comfortable on a Disaster Survival forum, I understand. If you are willing to stay with me a little longer, just let me say this is not going anywhere you might think it is. If you want to stop here then do. It’s your future. The decisions that you make are all yours.

As survivalists we have heard most of the conspiracy theories. We probably agree with a lot of them – certainly with a lot of the ones we have taken the time to check out for ourselves. We know that our governments are not interested in doing the right thing by the people. They are pawns of the world bankers. Our front-line leaders are often self-serving and/or corrupt. Our education system is flawed by design. Our health system promotes whatever makes the drug companies the most money – at the expense of the people, and with the blessing and backing of our government.

Excuse my cynicism, but this seems to sum it all up: “What you see is not what you get – read between the lines – there is something else going on.”

So what does this have to do with the topic I introduced earlier – preparing for what happens when our life here ends?

Everything.

In most of the western developed nations the prominent religion is Christianity. I was born into an Anglican family. I found my own personal Christian faith as a 15 year old. While I have had my moments, I largely gave the next twenty years to the local charismatic/pentecostal church. Then I started reading my bible seriously in my own time. I would like to share with you what I have found, because the summary fits Christianity too.

“What you see is not what you get – read between the lines – there is something else going on.”

I cannot imagine anything more devastating than hearing these words from the one you thought you had lived your life for – the one you thought was your Savior:

“Depart from me. I never knew you”

It is now almost twenty more years since I started reading my bible seriously in my own time. The scales have only come off my eyes slowly. But I went into this saying “If there is any way these Words can lead to eternal life, then ALL of the bible must be true. If ANY of it is not true then NONE of it can be relied upon to give life. If ANY of it is not true then the whole thing is a farce. If it does not lead to life then why bother with it at all – why not just get on with doing the best we can in this life – why bother being a Christian at all if it is just a lie?”

What I have found – that I can prove beyond doubt to any who truly want to know – is that the Bible IS truth. It does show clearly the path to eternal life.

man Keyhole Where Most Disaster Survival Plans FailWhat I can also prove beyond doubt is that Christianity is not the path to eternal life given in the Bible. (By Christianity I mean everything calling itself Christian – I do not mean parts of Christianity, like the Mormons, the Catholics, etc). “What you see is not what you get – read between the lines – there is something else going on.”

Christianity is full of sincere people following a path that they absolutely believe to be the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But if what they have been taught is contrary to the path to life actually given in the Bible, it really doesn’t matter how many believe or how hard they believe it. If you have been deceived you have been deceived. And the last person wanting to know is usually the one who has been deceived.

Over the next few days I am going to continue with this. I will probably add some links to another website I have where I look at this in depth.

If you are depending on (or considering depending on) the God of the Christians for eternal life, I encourage you to check this out thoroughly.

Your eternal life is in the balance.

What I will share with you will show you beyond all doubt what the God of the Bible (the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the nation of Israel) requires from his people in return for eternal life and salvation.

I can tell you now that His way is not what Christianity and the church teaches.

Stay with me on this, and leave your comments too.

Lasik Surgery Disasters –the Truth about Laser Surgery

Sometimes a disaster can be something huge that only directly affects us ‘one person at a time’. Or maybe it’s something that’s been covered up and there are another three million people have had the same disaster.

If any of your family or friends is even remotely considering Lasik Surgery on their eyes, make sure they read this ‘eye opening’ report before they do.

LASIK surgery is supposed to fix vision problems. But new evidence shows that one out of five people who have the surgery end up with serious side effects.

Recently released information reveals that the surgery can lead to blurred night vision… thinning and bulging corneas…and even blindness.

Often, the patient is left with vision issues that are far worse than those they had before surgery. And in many of these cases the damage is long term…sometimes even permanent.

Most patients don’t hear about the risks associated with surgery. And most eye doctors don’t tell them. click here to read more …

Simple Home Security

Ultra-Effective Simple Steps to ProtectMy home my castle Simple Home Security Your Castle

By Howard Wilson

Your home is the only environment where you have control over who can get close to you or your family. Protecting your home and family from criminal intrusion should be high on your list of priorities.

There are some easy things we can do to help to keep our home and family safe from burglars and home invasion. Unfortunately these basics are often left undone simply because we are busy with life – and because our space has not already been violated.

So here is some quality free advice from one who has personally experienced their home being broken into. The lower levels of our home were thoroughly searched for valuables while we slept upstairs. They found my car keys hidden out of sight in the kitchen pantry, and then drove off with laptops and other takings in OUR car. Never again!

We need to live by the creed ”Expect the best – but be prepared for the worst”, because if we have adequately prepared we are more likely to never experience “the worst”. What happens is that the criminals simply look for an easier target. That leaves us and our loved ones safe. All good!

These simple steps are Ultra effective.  They will help you secure and protect your Castle.  Let’s get started,   read more

Seemingly Impossible Events

Seemingly impossible events  are now occurring on a regular basis

As you have probably noticed this week, life just goes on – nothing really changes – for most of us.

Demonstrations or riots, tornadoes, earthquakes, famine, floods and fires continue to happen.  The European and US economies continue to crumble.  And for most of us life continues, giving us the hope that perhaps we are immune from these events.  If we are well informed, have a disaster survival plan and are well prepared, then we are probably about as immune as we could hope to be.

But I watched a video this morning  – a December 2012 Presidential speech that could be Obama himself speaking.  It’s not. But that’s beside the point.  The content of the speech is what concerns me – and it should concern you too.  This is based on real figures and real projections.  “He who owns the gold makes the rules.”  These rules can be changed overnight. This stuff is sending real shock-waves through the global financial community and the markets.

This is going to affect all of us, no matter where in the world we live.  We may be limited in what we can personally do about it, but the very least we can do is to be informed.  If we can see it coming we will be better off than if we have no idea.

Click the link below.  Then after the short intro, listen to the guy that sounds like Obama.  That’s it. It’ll take you about 10 minutes, (forget the rest of the video – it’s just marketing aimed to sell you a subscription).

You will be better informed than most of your community.   http://www.stansberryresearch.com/pro/1108PSISHOVD/LPSIM934/PR

What this will do is help you see past the smokescreen that we get fed every day by our governments and the media.

Be informed, and Stay Safe,

Howard Wilson

2011 Rugby World Cup Disaster?

A Time To Cherish or a Time To Forget?Building up to the Cup 2011 Rugby 1 300x200 2011 Rugby World Cup Disaster?

Rugby fans from around the globe are descending on Auckland to see who will lose, who will survive another day, and who will be the ultimate victor.  Cars everywhere are flying their country flags as though they are diplomats! All over the city, all over New Zealand, flags are flying in support of the twenty nations involved in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

A lot of money will be spent over these next weeks – on things that are seen as adding to and enhancing the excitement.  Things like alcohol. And drugs – both legal and otherwise.  And there will be many nights of supporters either celebrating or drowning their sorrows, well into the wee hours, from now until the final match is history.

If that was the end of it, all would be well.

But wherever you mix a lot of people with a lot of alcohol, maybe some drugs and a whole lot of irrational exuberance, you are going to get some people out of control.

And some of those out of control people will do things to other folks that will change them – things they will carry – their own personal disaster event – for the rest of their days.

How can we make sure our loved ones are safe? read more

Lesson from Libya

Today’s post comes from David Morris’ desk – I
couldn’t have said it better myself, so the best
thing is to let you hear straight from David:

Why should you care that Gadhafi’s evil regime
was apparently toppled yesterday by a rag tag
force of rebels?

The lesson from the Middle East that governments
from Greece all the way to the US need to pay
attention to is how fast society can drop into
free fall.

In Egypt, there were massive shortages, the people
were starving and couldn’t afford to buy food. read more
